"Throughout my artistic journey, the replication of life has been an essential tool for improving my skills. Painting from life is more than observation and replication, it is a way of studying the physical world and the laws which govern it. Painting from life is a study of material, structure, form, movement, lighting, space, perception, and all other attributes of the world that surrounds us. By starting my practice as a realism painter and now transitioning toward deconstructionist abstraction, I am able to produce a sense of depth and realism within imagined landscapes."
